Glassy cell carcinoma is an uncommon, poorly differentiated, rapidly growing variant of adenosquamous carcinoma. The tumour is composed of large atypical cells with glassy cytoplasm.
Glassy cell carcinoma arises in younger women than other types of carcinoma. Distant metastases are frequent, the prognosis is poor. The tumour responds poorly to conventional treatment; however, chemotherapy may be promising 1
