/span>edulloblastoma is a malignant, invasive embryonal tumour of the cerebellum with preferential manifestation in children and an inherent tendency to spread via cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pathways. It is histologically characterized by densely packed cells that frequently form neuroblastic rosettes. Genetic alterations include isochromosome 17q, PTCH1 mutations and MYCC amplification. Advances in surgery, radio- and chemotherapy resulted in a 5-year survival rate of 60-70%.
