Subependymoma is a benign, slowly growing neoplasm (WHO grade I) which is typically attached to a ventricular wall. The fourth and the lateral ventricles are most frequently affected. It is composed of glial tumor cell clusters embedded in an abundant fibrillary matrix with frequent microcystic change. Some lesions have the histological features of both subependymoma and ependymoma. Subependymomas are often detected incidentally and have a very favorable prognosis 1
