Clear cell adenocarcinoma of the uterine corpus is a malignant neoplasm arising from the endometrium. It is composed mainly of clear or hobnail glandular epithelial cells. Various architectural patterns may be seen, including tubular, papillary, tubulocystic, and solid. The tumour cells are rich in glycogen and project into lumina and papillary spaces. The nuclei are large and highly pleomorphic. Occasionally, the cytoplasm is granular rather than clear.
Clear cell adenocarcinoma of the uterine corpus belongs to the group of non-estrogen-dependent tumours. It affects predominantly older patients and is frequently diagnosed in advanced clinical stages. The prognosis is poor8

Clear cell adenocarcinoma arises rarely in the cervix. Postmenopausal women are most often affected. In young women, there is an association with in utero exposure to diethylstilbestrol (DES) 9
