Multifocal superficial basal cell carcinoma is a variant of basal cell carcinoma presenting as erythematous, often multiple patches that range in size from a few millimeters to >10cm. Histologically, the tumour is characterized by the presence of superficial lobules of basaloid cells projecting into the dermis. The basaloid cell lobules are surrounded by loose myxoid stroma and are usually confined to the papillary dermis. Multifocal superficial BCCs develop most frequently on the trunk1
