ICD10: C71

Medullomyoblastoma is a medulloblastoma characterized by focal myogenic differentiation.
Since its clinical features and genetic profile are similar to those of other medulloblastomas, medullomyoblastoma is considered a pattern of differentiation rather than a variant in the 2007 WHO classification 1

. It is suggested that the descriptive term ?medulloblastoma with myogenic differentiation? be used for classic medulloblastoma and any variant (desmoplastic/nodular, large cell medulloblastoma, etc.) that contains focal rhabdomyoblastic elements and to use their respective ICD-O code rather than that originally introduced for medullomyoblastoma (9472/3).
